The Scatchet Head Water District (SHWD) is located on the southern end of Whidbey Island between Cultus Bay and Useless Bay. It is currently providing water to 412 connections within its service area. The source of water comes from two ground water wells located within its service area. Water is pumped from the wells to a treatment facility and after treatment is then disbursed to two reservoirs for storage and distribution.
